Our History

Founded in 1996, Princess Production’s first commission was Light Lunch for Channel 4.  Since then, with co-founder and Managing Director Henrietta Conrad at the helm, Princess has gone from strength to strength, creating and broadcasting over 100 formats across many genres. Whether they’re Daytime, Primetime, Comedy, Arts, Music, Factual Entertainment or high profile studio formats, Princess shows always strive to deliver exceptional talent, innovation and interactivity.

Princess is a multi-skilled production company producing a wide range of shows across several genres. From long running series such as Something For The Weekend (BBC2), T4 (Channel 4), The Wright Stuff (Channel 5), Eddie Stobart: Trucks & Trailers (Channel 5) and nine series of The Friday/Sunday Night Project (Channel 4), multi-million pound international entertainment series such as Got To Dance and Must Be The Music (both Sky1), Sunday Brunch (Channel 4),  Ashley Banjo’s Secret Street Crew (Sky 1), The Love Machine (Sky Living) to Lily Allen: From Riches To Rags (Channel 4) and My Story (BBC1) which showcase expertise in making thoughtful and intelligent factual entertainment and documentary series.

Princess Productions now concentrates on making Entertainment, Daytime, Comedy and Scripted programmes for all broadcasters whilst  ’Eddie Stobart: Trucks and Trailers’ and ‘Ashley Banjo’s Secret Street Crew’ and all Factual and Factual Entertainment content will now be made by Shine TV.

A strong reputation for nurturing new talent has seen Princess launch the careers of some of the UK’s most popular presenters; including Alan Carr, Justin Lee Collins, Steve Jones and Vernon Kay. With its own dedicated talent team, Princess has also persuaded huge stars such as Jay-Z (Imagine, BBC2) and Lily Allen (Lily Allen: From Riches To Rags, Channel 4) to become the focus of their own shows.

Since 2007, Princess has been part of The Shine Group, which in 2010 became the UK’s biggest “super-indie”, topping Broadcast Magazine’s survey of the UK television production industry.

This is a live 2hr show every Sunday from 10am. It is presented by Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer and a female drinks expert. It will feature two celebrity guests who will chat and cook with the possibility of an additional music guest performing live.

Eddie Stobart: Trucks & Trailers Series 3

This highly popular observational documentary featuring iconic haulage firm Eddie Stobart returns for a third series. It’s full steam ahead in Stobart’s Rail and Air divisions as the company’s ambitious plans take flight. But Trucking remains at the heart of the business. We’ll join the drivers as they take on the challenges of delivering everything from the new pitch at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium, to a London Landmark – the famous Piccadilly lights. We’ll also meet a new breed of drivers, as 20 young lads compete to win a place on the firm’s coveted apprenticeship scheme. Climb aboard, and get ready for some more action packed trucking adventures.
